Healthcare Professionals

Healthcare Professionals that are typically required to take these courses are physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, dental assistants, and other allied health personnel.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA’s BLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals and trained first responders who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings, as well as individuals enrolled in a healthcare training programs. Basic life support skills including CPR, AED use, and ventilations. Results in an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

The AHA’s ACLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, critical care/intensive care, and surgery such as Physicians, Nurses, and Paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for a job or other requirement. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The AHA’s PALS Course is intended for healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units that encounter pediatric patients on a regular basis. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)

The AHA’s ASLS Course is for healthcare providers and teaches skills to identify, assess, and treat stroke patients, aiming to reduce fatalities and disabilities associated with stroke. Results in an AHA ASLS Provider course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Course teaches participants to provide first aid (including Epi Pen and Narcan administration, bleeding control), perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. This course is intended for anyone with little or no medical training who requires a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This course can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Results in an AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Heartsaver CPR AED

The AHA’s Heartsaver CPR AED Course teaches participants how to perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. This course is intended for anyone with little or no medical training who requires a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Results in an AHA Heartsaver First Aid course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

The AHA’s Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Course is for anyone responsible for the care and safety of children and infants, especially those who may need to respond in an emergency before professional help arrives. The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course gives you the skills to act quickly in an infant or child emergency. You will learn how to respond to common childhood illnesses and injuries—such as bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, breathing problems, and more—along with serious conditions like shock, seizures, head or spinal injuries, and drowning response and prevention. Training also includes CPR, AED use, and choking relief for infants and children. This course is intended for anyone with little or no medical training who requires a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This course can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Results in an AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Upon completion of the online course, students receive a course completion certificate that can be presented to employers.

Family & Friends® CPR

The AHA’s Family & Friends CPR Course teaches essential lifesaving skills, including adult Hands-Only CPR, adult and child CPR with breaths, AED use for adults and children, infant CPR, and relief of mild and severe airway obstruction for all ages. Instruction takes place in an engaging group setting using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching method, maximizing hands-on learning and skill retention. This short course is designed for individuals who want to learn CPR but DO NOT need a course completion card for work or regulatory purposes. It is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone interested in being prepared to save a life. Each participant receives a high-quality reference manual which includes a PARTICIPATON (not certification) card.
In addition to the standard course agenda, we’ll wrap up the session with what we at Code Blue Resources call ASK A PARAMEDIC. Curious about things like how to administer over-the-counter medications for overdoses, how to stop bleeding, or questions about emergency medical services in general – just ask the instructor!

ECSI Wilderness First Aid & CPR

The ECSI Wilderness First Aid & CPR course provides information on how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care is not nearby. Designed for those who work or travel in remote locations, trip leaders, camp counselors, and outdoor enthusiasts who want a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. No previous first aid training is required. Results in an ECSI Wilderness First Aid eCard as well as an ECSI CPR/AED eCard, valid for two years.
The course meets the curriculum of the Boy Scouts of American (BSA).

Stop The Bleed

A life-threatening bleeding injury can happen anywhere, and the person next to a victim may very well be the one most likely to prevent fatal bleeding. A Stop the Bleed course will help you become an immediate responder by learning how to control bleeding injuries from serious accidents or disasters. No previous medical experience is required. Results in a certificate of participation.

CPaRty (aka a CPR Party)!

You’ve been to cooking parties, jewelry parties, and even perhaps Tupperware parties. Now, Code Blue Resources is bringing you CPaRties!
Consider throwing a CPaRty for your friends, family … at your home/location or at our beautiful office in Wake Forest, NC.
A "CPaRty" is a fun, low-pressure way to learn basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking relief skills with friends and family in a private, at-home setting, similar to a social party. While not a certification, the goal is to empower people to act in an emergency, with trained instructors teaching hands-on skills for common scenarios like sudden cardiac arrest and household injuries.

Pet Tech® CPR And First Aid

This class includes CPR techniques, first aid skills, health care and wellness information for dogs and cats.
Additionally, the class includes our PetSaver® 40-page handbook and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certification card.
